We believe that the treatment of children 's/juvenile Literature targeting only the skill of reading becomes adequate for the formation of literary reader. And so the good reader is that one who is involved in a relationship of interaction with literary, finds meaning when read and try to understand and relate with them and the world around, building and developing new meanings from what was read. Only in this way, the reading can contribute significantly in a literate society, the citizenship exercise and intellectual development. For this reason, we need the Infant/Juvenile book to be pleasing to the eye of students and to have a charming text by stimulating the reader imagination. The central problem of this thesis focuses on how teachers conceive and develop the proposal of children's literature/youth E.M.E.F. Santa Clara, in Thailand city from Pará. O presente trabalho busca compreender as concepções de literatura Infanto/Juvenil que fundamentam a prática dos professores na formação dos alunos. Entendemos que o tratamento da Literatura Infanto/juvenil visando somente à habilidade de leitura torna-se inadequado para a formação de leitor literário. Pois, o bom leitor é aquele que envolvido numa relação de interação com a obra literária, encontra significado quando lê, procura compreender o texto e relaciona com o mundo à sua volta, construindo e elaborando novos significados do que foi lido. Só assim, a leitura pode contribuir de forma significativa numa sociedade letrada, no exercício da cidadania e no desenvolvimento intelectual. Para isso, é preciso que o livro literário seja agradável aos olhos e possua um texto encantador, estimulando o imaginário do leitor. O problema central dessa tese versa sobre como os professores concebem e desenvolvem a proposta da literatura Infanto/Juvenil na E.M.E.F.
