In this way, discussions regarding memory, oral history, pajelança and marujada will be presented, which will provide sustainability and scientific rigor for the development and production of the article. In this case, working with the idea of memory that consists of memories acquired from individual and collective experiences, sometimes forgotten, sometimes remembered. In relation to shamanism, it is one of the practices that Maria Pajé carried out in the city throughout her life to provide assistance, for example, with regard to health, spirituality and other benefits to everyone who sought her out. With regard to methodology, bibliographical research was carried out in accordance with the exposed theme, the use of oral history based on interviews and informal conversations carried out to compose this research. Furthermore, this study aims to make visible the memory of this woman who was essential for the city of São João de Pirabas, in addition, her record becomes relevant for the knowledge and recognition of this influential figure in this municipality. O presente artigo tem como foco analisar e destacar as mobilizações sociais e culturais de Flaviana Serrão da Silva (1929 – 2003), conhecida popularmente como Maria Pajé, no que concerne sua atuação nos trabalhos da pajelança, parteira, organização do festejo de São Benedito, Marujada e sua colaboração geral no que tange à cultura local de São João de Pirabas. Desta forma, serão apresentadas as discussões referentes à memória, história oral, pajelança e marujada que darão sustentabilidade e rigor científico para o desenvolvimento e a produção do artigo. Neste caso, trabalhar com ideia de memória que consiste em lembranças adquiridas a partir das vivências individuais e coletivas, ora esquecidas, ora rememoradas. Em relação à pajelança, trata-se de uma das práticas que Maria Pajé executara na cidade ao longo de sua vida para dar assistência, por exemplo, no que se refere à saúde, espiritualidade e outras benfeitorias para todo aquele que a procurava. No que diz respeito à metodologia, fora feita pesquisa bibliográfica de acordo com o tema exposto, o uso da história oral a partir das entrevistas e conversas informais realizadas para a composição desta pesquisa.
