Today the competition between companies is growing. In a production system, efficiency, speed and flexibility are important, because it means lower costs. Current automation systems are increasingly complex, justifying the need for more efficient control programs, error-free and easy to maintain. The automation of power plants is a major challenge not only by the size of the project, but also by the use of what is most modern in terms of automation and digital protection. This work will be addressed hydroelectric automation concepts, graphical programming language such as Ladder and FBD as well as a descriptive analysis of the logic embedded in the PLC's auxiliary services of the Force I House of Tucuruí Hydroelectric Plant.
