Based on the systematization of the database of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of Pará (SEGUP-PA), we sought to obtain geographic information for spatial and multitemporal analysis of occurrences related to this crime in the period from 2018 to 2023, also considering existing laws to guarantee animal dignity and well-being. Geoprocessing techniques were applied to identify and analyze occurrences, contributing to the understanding of the problem in the urban area of Ananindeua, with the help of thematic maps and graphics. It was found that incidents of mistreatment and abandonment of domestic animals increased from 2021 onwards, with their highest average occurring in the months of May, June, July, August, September and December. The neighborhoods with the most occurrences were Cidade Nova, Icuí-Guajará and 40 Horas. The research results can serve as input for the implementation of public policies and strategies aimed at reducing the problems faced by domestic animals in Ananindeua, with special attention to places with the highest incidence of mistreatment and abandonment. O presente artigo aborda a problemática de maus-tratos e abandono de animais domésticos (cães e gatos) no município de Ananindeua – PA. A partir de sistematização do banco de dados da Secretaria de Segurança Pública e Defesa Social do Pará (SEGUP-PA), buscou-se obter informações geográficas para a análise espacial e multitemporal sobre as ocorrências relacionadas a esse crime no período de 2018 a 2023, considerando também as leis existentes para garantir a dignidade e o bem-estar animais. Foram aplicadas técnicas de geoprocessamento para identificação e análise das ocorrências, contribuindo para a compreensão da problemática na zona urbana de Ananindeua, tendo o auxílio de mapas temáticos e gráficos. Verificou-se que as ocorrências de maus tratos e abandono aos animais domésticos aumentaram a partir do ano de 2021, tendo sua maior média nos meses de maio, junho, julho, agosto, setembro e dezembro. Os bairros com mais ocorrência foram os da Cidade Nova, Icuí-Guajará e 40 Horas.
