It was noticed during the research that some factors have contributed to the teaching learning process is not made real in student learning, among these: the lack of interest of students and failure in the literacy process. We believe that the expected results were achieved because it was understood that there are still many difficulties involved in the process of reading and writing in the experience of the students, thus hindering his learning and somehow inhibiting their actions. O referido trabalho de pesquisa tem como tema: A importância da leitura e da escrita para o 3º ano do ensino fundamental menor ocorrida na Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Vereador Marcos Martins Magno, buscando responder a problemática de como acontece a inserção da leitura e da escrita na prática dos professores desta modalidade de ensino que atuam nesta escola, verificando a concepção que permeia as práticas dos atores envolvidos no processo ensino aprendizagem e discutindo sua práxis na formação de leitores. Percebeu-se ao longo da pesquisa que alguns fatores contribuíram para que o processo ensino aprendizagem não se fizesse real na aprendizagem dos alunos, dentre estes: a falta de interesse dos educandos e a falha no processo de alfabetização.
