This study was conducted in the municipality of Abaetetuba-Pa, was first performed a literature search on solid waste management while also addressing forms of waste management in the municipality particularly targeted in this study. Characterized as a field research that aimed to analyze the current management scenario RW (solid waste) and urban waste collection, as well as the scope of the service water supply in that city. Data collection was performed in four of the quatorzes, neighborhoods Abaetetuba and sought information regarding the collection and disposal of garbage in special solid waste of the city as well as the problems caused by it. The overall data collection of this research involved 41 residents, one in charge of the company responsible for garbage collection in the city and Operating Manager of COSANPA (Sanitation Company of Pará) in Abaetetuba. The instruments used to collect the data were three types of questionnaires, the first charge was applied to the company that collects garbage in Abaetetuba, the second was applied to the operational manager COSANPA and third questionnaire was administered to 41 residents of four districts used in research. From the results it can be concluded that the problems of environmental issues in the city beyond the management of solid waste, also include problems related to water supply and sanitation services both occur in that city so poor and do not cover all population.
