This research addresses the importance of street movie theater, a space directly linked to
the city, to which a mass of people interested was directed not only in the audience of the
films but also in the socio-affective experiences that this meeting provided. We
investigated the relationship that street movie theater had with society, based on a case
study from the memories of former employees and patrons of Cine Argus, in the city of
Castanhal, in the state of Pará. Interviews, documentary analysis were carried out from
