The federal extractivist reserve Chico mendes, located on the south region of the Brazilian state of Acre, near the Peruvian and Bolivian borders, turned into the pioneer of pursuing conciliation of biodiversity and its sustainable uses of land by the locals that live in that place, although it’s maintenance have been often threatened by the raising of deforestation and forest fires, Replacing primary forests for cattle pastures. This article aims to analyze throughout preterite researches about the theme, using a multitemporal approach by Mapbiomas e Qgis tools to identify the state of preservation of primary vegetation on that ‘resex’, that covers around 970 thousands ha. The results indicate changes through the time since its creation till actual times. Concludes that primary forests are essential to ecological trim maintenance allied to geotechnologies to assist constant monitoring and keep preservation of the extractivist reserve. |
