OBJECTIVES:The aim of this study was to review the literature on the correlation between lung function and nutritional status in children and adolescents with CF. METHODS: This is an integrative literature review, carried out using the BVS, PubMed and SCIELO databases, using the DeCS descriptors: "Cystic fibrosis", "Mucoviscidoses", "Nutritional status", "Nutritition assessment", "Nutrition", "Pulmonary function", "Lung function" and "Respiratory function," from 2000 to 2023. RESULTS: A total of 2417 studies were identified, after which 1216 were excluded following the inclusion criteria, then 324 duplicates were excluded and 877 studies remained for abstract and title selection. This left 58 articles to be read in full text. Of these, 19 remained and were checked for their relevance to the research, of which 11 were excluded as they did not meet the objectives of the topic, as they were not part of the age group studied. Therefore, the research included a total of 8 arƟcles. CONCLUSION: We found that BMI and FEV1 are directly related to lung function and nutritional status in children and adolescents. These were the parameters most commonly used in research. In this sense, we can see the importance of a good nutritional status and its influence on the pulmonary function of these patients. INTRODUÇÃO: A fibrose cística (FC) é uma doença genética, ocasionada através da mutação no gene (CFTR), que codifica a Proteína Reguladora da Condutância Transmembrana da Fibrose Cística, por ser uma doença multissistêmica, a FC afeta principalmente o trato respiratório, causando infecções respiratórias crônicas recorrentes e desnutrição. OBJETIVOS: Avaliar a correlação entre a função pulmonar e o estado nutricional de crianças e adolescentes com FC. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, realizada através nas bases de dados BVS, PubMed e SCIELO, utilizando os descritores em DeCS: Cystic fibrosis”, “Mucoviscidoses“, “Nutritional status”, “Nutritition assessment”, “Nutrition”, “Pulmonary function”, “Lung function” e “Respiratory function,” no período de 2000 a 2023. RESULTADOS: Foram identificados 2417 estudos, depois disso foram excluídos 1216 após os critérios de inclusão, em seguida excluídos 324 duplicados e restaram 877 estudos para a seleção de resumo e título. Após isso permaneceram 58 artigos para que fossem realizadas as leituras dos textos completos. Destes, ficaram 19 e verificados se respondiam a pesquisa, dos quais foram excluídos 11 que não atenderam os objetivos do tema, pois não faziam parte da faixa etária do grupo estudado. Portanto, a pesquisa incluiu um total de 8 artigos. CONCLUSÃO: evidenciamos que o IMC e VEF1 estão diretamente relacionados com a função pulmonar e o estado nutricional de crianças e adolescentes. Pois, foram os parâmetros mais utilizados nas pesquisas.
