Besides ripening, with the birth of the child, increase the responsibilities that are charged by the family and society. The result of a teenage pregnancy has several effects on the adolescent life, can vary from school dropouts to entry for a riotous living, making use of illegal substances when characterized by an unplanned pregnancy. The choice of this topic was first imposed by its relevance and timeliness and second, that we analyze more closely the reality of teenage pregnancy in the vicinity of Rio Itacuruçá region Islands Municipality Abaetetuba. The methodology adopted for the preparation of this work was based in a review of the literature on this topic, supplemented by interviews with a sample of 10 adolescent mothers who were invited to participate and five teachers. Thus, it was possible to analyze the problem of teenage pregnancy and seek to realize the contribution of teachers, the community, especially families, for the prevention of early pregnancy. We hope this work can contribute to the professional education, health, and social assistance to realize the world of teenagers mainly in pregnant condition, and especially to "stimulate" the teachers to improve their skills in communicating with adolescents about the sex education. A adolescência é um período de grandes mudanças que aumentam ainda mais com a ocorrência de uma gravidez indesejada ou não planejada, podendo ser ou não uma solução para a grávida adolescente, pois, a maternidade poderá trazer maturidade, assim como poderá contribuir para agravar os seus problemas sociais e econômicos. Além do amadurecimento, com o nascimento do filho, aumentam as responsabilidades que são cobradas pelos familiares e pela sociedade. A consequência de uma gravidez na adolescência tem várias repercussões na vida da adolescente, podem variar desde o abandono escolar à entrada para uma vida desregrada, fazendo uso de substâncias ilícitas quando caracterizado por uma gravidez não planejada. A escolha deste tema impôs-se primeiro pela sua relevância e atualidade e, segundo, por que buscamos analisar mais de perto a realidade da gravidez na adolescência nas imediações do Rio Itacuruçá, região das Ilhas do Município de Abaetetuba. A metodologia adotada para a elaboração deste trabalho foi baseado em uma revisão da literatura nesta temática, complementada com entrevistas realizadas a uma amostra de 10 adolescentes mães que foram convidadas a participar e cinco educadoras. Assim, foi possível analisar a problemática da gravidez na adolescência e procurar perceber qual a contribuição dos professores, da comunidade, em especial das famílias, na prevenção da gravidez precoce.
