Processing machines are very useful in carrying out work in rural areas. In this sense, the present work aims to present a prototype machine (MEG-2023LELIS) aimed at pelletizing feed and/or bran in general. Its components have been designed, manufactured, and simulated to produce fish feed. It consists of a structural support base, a flat matrix, central axis and compressor rollers. The machine's power supply is 220 volts for a 3677-watt, two- phase 1740 rpm motor. A performance evaluation of the machine was carried out, the main objective of which was to analyze production capacity, transfer rate and efficiency. The machine had a production capacity of around 0.857 kg/min, equivalent to a transfer rate of 51.42 kg/h with a maximum efficiency of 89.25% for a present moisture content of 25%. The total weight of the set is 76 kg. Each batch produces around 17.85 kg of feed, with an estimated energy consumption of R$36.61. The results indicate that the designed pelletizing machine can enable greater dynamics in animal husbandry systems on small and medium-sized rural properties, as it will allow producers to produce and supply their own feed in pellets from regional inputs and/or waste from agro-industries, thus alleviating the problems associated with costs and dependence on the use of commercial feed. |
