This will be done from the presentation of the methodologies used by the teachers in the classes and the identification of the main difficulties faced by these teachers. However, the importance of creating, providing, and researching new methods to help improve the quality of science education is highlighted here. Appropriate teaching methods can be a solution to the problems generated in science education, even if they escape the old traditional model of education. We chose a research based on the principles of the qualitative approach to this work. It was carried out surveys in data through questionnaires with and theoretical references related to the subject matter. It was used as a research sample, teachers who teach in the level fundamental and average some public schools of the municipality of Monte Alegre-Pará. The information collected was organized and analyzed in accordance with the principles of analysis established during this project. The results obtained with the application of the questionnaire demonstrate that the strategies used by most teachers of science are out theoretical ideal, which can lead to difficulties of learning for students. Yet, it is necessary that during the process of higher education, the teacher acquires techniques, Methods, strategies and tools appropriate and necessary for the performance of its function as a qualified professional for your area of expertise. O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo traçar o perfil de alguns professores de Ciências (Física) da rede pública do 9° ano do Ensino Fundamental de Monte Alegre. Isso será feito a partir da apresentação das metodologias utilizadas pelos professores nas aulas e da identificação das principais dificuldades enfrentadas por esses professores. No entanto, aqui se destaca, por exemplo, a importância de se criar, proporcionar, pesquisar, novos métodos que ajudem a melhorar a qualidade de ensino na área de ciências. Métodos de ensino adequados podem ser uma solução para a problemática gerada no ensino de ciências, mesmo fugindo do velho modelo tradicional de educação. Optou-se por uma pesquisa fundamentada e apoiada nos princípios da abordagem qualitativa para a realização deste trabalho. Realizou-se levantamentos de dados através de questionários com questões abertas e de referenciais teóricos relacionados ao tema em questão. Foi utilizado como amostra da pesquisa, professores que lecionam no nível fundamental e médio de algumas escolas públicas do município de Monte Alegre-Pará. As informações coletadas foram organizadas e analisadas de acordo com os princípios da análise estabelecidos no decorrer deste projeto. Os resultados obtidos com a aplicação do questionário demonstram que as estratégias utilizadas por boa parte dos professores de ciências estão fora do ideal teórico, o que pode acarretar dificuldades de aprendizagem para os alunos.
