In the last decade the intense technological evolution, besides contributing to the tasks' practices, has contributed to the unbridled consumption of society and, consequently, to the high disposability of electronics. This reality has raised the question about environmental degradation and its consequences on human health, due to the incorrect disposal of this type of product, because it is composed of non-biodegradable materials. The perspective of the future professor of Natural Sciences under the focus of environmental preservation will imply better living conditions, as it will contribute to the formation of more critical and active subjects in society. The objectives of this research were to verify how the technological waste is presented in the conception of the future teachers of Natural Sciences; identify if future teachers are aware of the orientations regarding the destination of technological waste; identify the risks of inappropriate waste of technological waste; and identify if future teachers know of the environmental impacts caused by waste electrical and electronic. In order to reach these objectives we performed a qualitative research and as a data collection instrument we used a questionnaire. The subjects of the research were 19 graduates of the Natural Sciences course. Data were analyzed using the principles of content analysis. With the research, we observe that the consulted graduates do not know very little about the subject, although it is a subject that is routinely dealt with in daily life. Many are unaware of the consequences of improper disposal of electronic waste and how the correct disposal could recover the value of the products after the end of their useful life. This demonstrates the need for ongoing investment and training for teachers. A questão do lixo eletrônico se tornou um grande desafio mundial. Na última década a intensa evolução tecnológica além de contribuir para as praticidades das tarefas, tem contribuído para o consumo desenfreado da sociedade, e consequentemente, para a alta descartabilidade de eletrônicos. Essa realidade tem levantado a questão sobre a degradação ambiental e suas consequências na saúde humana, em decorrência do descarte incorreto desse tipo de produto, pelo fato de ser composto por materiais não biodegradáveis. A perspectiva do futuro professor de Ciências Naturais sob o enfoque da preservação ambiental implicará em melhores condições de vida, pois contribuirá para formar sujeitos mais críticos e atuantes na sociedade. Os objetivos desta pesquisa foram verificar como o lixo tecnológico é apresentado na concepção dos futuros professores de Ciências Naturais; identificar se os futuros professores conhecem as orientações quanto ao destino do lixo tecnológico; identificar os riscos do destino inadequado do lixo tecnológico; e identificar se os futuros professores sabem dos impactos ambientais causados por resíduos eletroeletrônicos. Para alcançar esses objetivos realizamos uma pesquisa qualitativa e como instrumento de coleta de dados utilizamos um questionário. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram 19 licenciandos concluintes do curso de Ciências Naturais. Os dados foram analisados utilizando os princípios da análise de conteúdo. Com a pesquisa, observamos que os licenciandos consultados, não conhecem pouco sobre o assunto, apesar de ser um assunto que rotineiramente tratado no cotidiano. Muitos não conhecem as consequências do descarte inadequado do lixo eletrônico e como o descarte correto poderia recuperar o valor dos produtos após o fim de sua vida útil.
