The study of the geologic patrimonies in situ by geosites in Para’s northeast region consists in a relatively less released theme in the academic ambit, as well as its potential to generate local and social formation. With the implementation of the paleontological site of Ilha de Fortaleza, in São João de Pirabas, that in June 24 2009 other regions with the same potential were sought, in order to be elevated to the Geologic/Paleontological category sites, in this context the regions of Vila de Fortalezinha in the Maiandeua Island on the Maracanã city and Vila Pedra in the Irituia city were chosen, where fossils and icnofossils from the Pirabas and Arenito do Guamá formations were found, apart from rock formations of expressive cenic beauty and lateral continuity. The main goals of this research are the documentation, evaluation, and disclosure for the conservation and better use of the paleontogical and geologic material patrimony of the Maracnã and Irituia regions, from the Pará northeast. In addition, the methodologies utilized that mostly evolved bibliographic research, camp searching and the valoration of geodiversity for the geoconservation. As a result, we got both locations with the desired punctuation to become geosites of National Relevance, Moderate Degradation Risk for the Fortalezinha location and low for Vila de Pedra location. Therefore, analis upon the geoconservation were realized by conduct changing on the camp searching, valoration and disclosure of the area’s geology to the local communities and touristics by Geotourism.
