Collecting municipal solid waste (MSW) is one of the biggest
challenges for environmental management. The lack of internet applications
has affected citizens' collaboration in favor of sustainability. We aimed to
develop an API for the Destino Sustentável project to facilitate communication
between citizens who generate and those who recycle or reuse MSW. We coded
the application with this project's functional and non-functional aspects, which
managers then validated. The results show that the project's architecture
makes the application more scalable, reusable, and secure. We hope the API
will be used to grow the sustainable economy and URS management. |
