The study explores topics related to the strategies employed by teachers to promote mathematical literacy and enhance students’ understanding in classrooms through the use of games. After material selection and identification of relevant topics,the study qualitatively analyzes the importance of mathematical literacy in education,examining the strategies employed by teachers to make mathematics more enjoyable in the classroom, particularly through the use of games. A critical analysis of the articles reveals that games can be effective tools for students, fostering mathematical learning, enhancing the understanding of mathematical concepts, and developing cognitive skills. However, it is crucial to note that the introduction and use of games should be pedagogically grounded and carefully planned by teachers, ensuring a more effective learning experience. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, de abordagem qualitativa do tipo revisão bibliográfica e empírica, buscando pesquisas em sites acadêmicos no sentido do letramento matemático por meio de jogos, levantando alguns assuntos voltados para as estratégias que o professor utiliza para realizar o letramento matemático para facilitar o entendimento dos alunos nas salas de aula utilizando o uso de jogos para esse fim. Foram, também, incluídos nesse trabalho após a seleção dos materiais, seleção dos assuntos mais pertinentes, depois analisado qualitativamente e realizado a compreensão da importância do letramento da matemática no ensino, e quais as estratégias usadaspelo professor na salade aula paratornar a matemática mais prazerosa. Assim, em análise crítica dos artigos permitiu identificar que jogos podem ser ferramentas eficazes para os estudantes e estimular a aprendizagem da matemática,além de contribuir para o entendimento de conceitos matemáticos e para o desenvolvimento de habilidades cognitivas. Contudo, é de se notar que a introdução e utilização de jogos deve estar fundamentada no sentido pedagógico e ser cuidadosamente planejada pelos professores.
