It addresses the characteristics, products and services of the "Antônio Tavernard Community Library as well as its contributions to the community. It is an exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. It uses for data collection the application of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, along with twenty-five participants, fourteen of whom are female and eleven male, of which one of the Librarians is interviewed who works at the institution. It concludes that users want the library to offer more media equipment, more educational games and to promote their sporting events. Regarding the opening hours, the users suggested that the schedule be extended, thus, being possible to observe that the community is very active and involved with the library.
