Modern industry times have brought with them a growing need to reduce costs,
primarily as a fundamental basis for companies' survival but also as part of the UN Agenda
2030 through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which proposes 17 goals, which
unfold into 169 goals, with a focus on overcoming the main development difficulties faced by
the citizens of the 193 nations affiliated to the organization, aiming to promote sustainable
growth globally by the year 2030. Considering the laws that guide the ZFM (Manaus Free Trade
Zone) that companies installed in the Industrial Pole of Manaus need to comply, the present
work developed aimed to reduce waste with scrapped parts in a company in the metallurgical
industry that provides parts for the two-wheelpole, promoting through studies such as this the
corporate vision of the company, by the year 2038, make its manufacturing processes suitable
for sustainable development pillars. As part of the company's vision, several improvements
have been carried out in various sectors of the company, including the forging sector, where
this work has been focused. The study aimed to reduce the amount of scrapped parts of various
defects studied during the hot forging process in open matrix of products in the manufacturing
line of parts called ABC ( fictitious name), aiming to reduce forging defects and in addition
to reducing the incidence of defects, we also sought to reduce the financial impacts for the
company with the purchase of raw material (steel) and ingeneral of the process, as matrizes,
matricelubricant (demoulding), OEE, among other items, increasingly bringing the company
to the molds of the UN SDGs. |
