In order to be within the industrial competitiveness, it is important to have a good flow of products, being necessary that the maintenance sector knows how to analyze and allocate the company's optimization failures. electric. Thus, it carried out a bibliographic survey of maintenance aspects, as well as its history, types and formats of management and maintenance planning and control functions (PCM), as well as quality tools that were used to demonstrate problems encountered in the sector. After that, a quantitative analysis of machine stops was carried out and improvements were proposed in the organization of the area, preventive maintenance schedule, preventive forms and daily inspections, presenting after the maintenance indicators for assertive decision making, proposing a maintenance management system that can ensure improvements in terms of equipment availability.
