Located in a strategic area, in the heart of the Americas and the Amazon, the Polo
Industrial de Manaus (PIM) is one of the most modern industrial and technological
centers in all of Latin America, currently bringing together more than 500 cutting-edge
industries in the segments of Electronics, Two Wheels, Naval, Mechanical, Metallurgy
and Thermoplastic, among others, which generate around half a million direct and
indirect jobs. A factory in the PIM (industrial center of Manaus) in the two-wheel niche,
more precisely in the foundry sector, during the injection of aluminum for the
conformation of the part, a “branch” is created that joins the parts that come out of the
mold. To remove this material and separate the parts, the operator needs to hit the
part with the hammer while the part is hot to break the branch. Based on this analysis,
the present work aims to automate this process by making a saw to perform the
separation of this material, reducing the ergonomic risks for the operator, following the
NR17, meeting the safety standards present in the NR12 and increasing the efficiency
of the production process, avoiding loss of parts and injuries to employees. |
