Resumo:
The present work deals with the reform of the indices in the production process, through automation with pneumatic devices, this application aims at improving the indices of quality, cost, productivity, safety and ergonomics. Its objective was to implement and evaluate an automation system that is easy to handle for the assembly process of the motorcycle rear marker product, since it was in high levels of absenteeism and rejection, and thus ensure safety standards, quality and ergonomics. For this purpose, a field study was used as a research tool in a PIM motorcycle company, through the collection of data related to the operation on the line and technical report records containing performance indicators. When analyzing the data, it was verified that the assembly of the lock of the flag contained the process with the highest index of ergonomic problems, it was verified that it could be improved by the implantation of a pneumatic device, improving production rates without incurring risks the involved employee. With the aid of design software, the device was designed, produced, tested and deployed in the line. The results obtained were the reduction of ergonomic risks, since the operator realized a considerable force for the operation, being a mechanical device without human influence. The other result would be the elimination of problems related to the quality of the lock of the flag, and to make this device a process of continuous improvement and of great relevance for both the company and the employees involved.
