This work addresses the development of a conversational interface, an intelligent
chatbot designed to facilitate interaction between students and the ecosystem of
a library. The project arose from the need to provide an efficient and intuitive
means for students to access information and services of the library, such as
checking the availability of books, viewing existing reservations, and making new
reservations. To achieve natural and effective interaction, Natural Language
Processing (NLP) technology was employed, a branch of artificial intelligence
that seeks to understand and interpret human language. Using NLP, the chatbot
is capable of understanding user requests and providing precise responses,
creating a friendly and efficient customer service experience. This work aims to
demonstrate how technological solutions, such as intelligent chatbots, can be
developed and implemented to improve the efficiency of library services,
contributing to a more enriching academic experience for students. |
