Ventilation installation and air-conditioning systems in public and collective places are
highly important to guarantee simultaneously the parameters control that determine
the thermal comfort of the occupants. In addition to ensuring the thermal comfort, the
perfect functioning of this type of system will provide levels of air quality and purity
within acceptable standarts, eliminating or minimizing the spread of deseases that
might affect the human health. In Brazil there are norms and laws that define the
installation criteria for air-conditioning systems. In this work, a study was carried out
based on the current Brazilian standards that rule the installation of these systems, to
evaluate whether the normative requirements were met in order to ensure the
appropriate parameters of thermal comfort and air quality. Thus, this research aims to
evaluate whether the installation of a ventilation and air conditioning system in a control
room of an oil refinery presents the expected performance for which it was designed. |
