In view of Law No. 13,589, of January 4, 2018, which states in its first article: “All buildings
for public and collective use that have artificially conditioned indoor air environments must
have a Maintenance, Operation and Maintenance Plan Control - PMOC of the respective air
conditioning systems, aiming at the elimination or minimization of potential risks to the
health of the occupants. ”, With this, this work aims to make the analysis of the PMOC in a
public school in Manaus, since we are going through a pandemic of a virus that is transmitted
through the airways and in Manaus the situation was very critical. Thus, proposing to
maximize the safety, health, well-being and comfort of people who attend school, taking into
account the various polluting sources of biological, chemical and physical nature. It can be
added, the greater efficiency, useful life and minimization of failures in the machines of the
air conditioning system, culminating in financial savings, if we take into account the expenses
with electric energy. For that, we used as a basis the recommendations of ANVISA (National
Health Surveillance Agency) in resolution 9, of January 16, 2003; GM / MS Ordinance No.
3,523, of August 28, 1998, Law No. 13,589, of January 4, 2018, among other studies.
Therefore, the application of PMOC correctly can generate safety, health and comfort for
students and employees in this school environment.
