Air conditioners are of relevant importance today, especially in a city with an equatorial climate like the city of Manaus. In this sense, the present study had the concern of carefully observing the reliability tests of a certain Company of the Industrial Pole of Manaus in order to ensure that such products - conventional Split Hi wall and inverter of 12,000 btus - reach the end consumer with quality, fully functioning, inherent in a durable consumer good. For this, 15 samples of each model were evaluated, in the visual aspects - internal and external -, electrical, mechanical and functional. Performance tests were performed in the laboratory in order to evaluate if the newly manufactured products were within the required parameters. Finally, the results were satisfactory, demonstrating that of the evaluated sample only one product was defective. At the same time, in the post-sale analysis, the results were also below the limit considered adequate which is a maximum of 0.9, SCR (Service Call Rate) goal stipulated by the company, thus demonstrating that the defect index is incipient. In this sense, it is inferred that the products are properly tested and arrive satisfactorily to the final consumer, so that their expectations in the acquisition of the product are met.
