Pelvic fractures are estimated to be the most common in small animal clinics, accounting for about 27% of all cases of axial skeleton fractures. This large percentage is due to its occurrence being related to car accidents, falls and bites, not excluding the hereditary osteometabolic diseases and bone tumors. Treatment may be conservative, with medication and space restriction, or surgical, which is defined after information provided by anamnesis, clinical examination and diagnostic imaging, especially with radiographic examination. There are several types of approach and surgical technique for each type of fracture. Thus, the veterinarian should be fully educated so that he can opt for the best possible treatment, as there are several.
