Resumo:
Amid an environment of continuous economic, social and technological transformations, Education has demanded an intelligent and efficient management, in which strategic planning has been presented as a crucial tool in the development of educational public policies and the search for quality in education. In this sense, the objective of this research is to verify how the strategic planning occurs in the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Parintins / AM, since the Secretariat of Education is the organ responsible for dynamizing the public educational policies, since it is from this that the normatives and the administrative and pedagogical procedures to be passed on, observed and applied by school administrators, pedagogical coordinators and teachers in schools. We opted for an exploratory, qualitative approach. A bibliographical survey, interview and analysis of the collected data were used. The results show that despite the intentionality of developing the strategic planning, SEMED / PIN adopts the short-term action plan, in addition, there was fragmentation in participation and difficulty of internal communication.
