Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 studies were selected for the analysis, of which 50% were published evidencing professional pharmaceutical practice with the age group of children and 50% were published addressing aspects related to the group of elderly people theme. The pharmacist is the professional qualified and qualified to follow, advise and orient properly on the RUM, being this the basic tool used to promote health education activities, aiming to improve the quality of life and success of pharmacological therapy, discuss good practices to establish a relationship of empathy with the minor, ensuring understanding of pharmacological treatment, encouraging healthy living habits to prevent future diseases, warning about self-medication, and stimulating critical thinking about the correct use of medications. drugs, from the process of acquisition and administration of several therapeutic classes. Several articles have proven that the pharmacist is the key to be seen and accepted by the population as the responsible for the drug and raise health care and extend the life expectancy of patients in a healthy way. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura que buscou evidenciar e discutir as principais características do conceito de atenção farmacêutica e o Uso Racional de Medicamentos, como uma ferramenta da promoção da saúde de pacientes pediátricos e geriátricos, a partir de publicações científicas na área de farmácia indexadas nas bases de dados do Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), Lilacs (Literatura Latino – Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde) e o Portal de Periódico Capes, utilizando-se apenas artigos escritos em português, entre o período de 2010-2019. Seguindo os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, totalizaram-se 10 estudos selecionados para a análise, dos quais 50% foram publicados evidenciando a prática profissional farmacêutica com o grupo etário de crianças e 50% foram publicados abordando os aspectos referentes ao grupo de idosos frente ao tema. O farmacêutico é o profissional habilitado e qualificado para acompanhar, aconselhar e orientar adequadamente sobre o URM, sendo esta a ferramenta básica utilizada para promover atividades de educação em saúde, visando à melhoria da qualidade de vida e sucesso da terapia farmacológica, debater sobre boas práticas de armazenamento e descarte correto de medicamentos, Estabelecer uma relação de empatia com o menor, garantindo a compreensão do tratamento farmacológico, incentivar o hábito de vida saudável para prevenção de doenças futuras, alertar sobre a automedicação e estimulando o pensamento crítico quanto ao uso correto de medicamentos, desde o processo de aquisição e administração de diversas classes terapêutica. Diversos artigos comprovaram que o farmacêutico é a peça chave para ser visto e aceito pela população como o responsável do medicamento e elevar os cuidados com a saúde e prolongar a expectativa de vida dos pacientes de forma saudável. 1 Pode-se melhorar no sentido de ter os registros de todos os professores da UFAM, assim facilitaria o acesso a informações referentes a eles, não precisaria procurar o curriculo lattes, como isso, aumenta o tempo de registro.
