“Anyone who wants to study or practice Magic must cultivate Mathematics,” says Matila Costiesco Ghyka. In this sense, in the school context, it is necessary to use several resources to present the subject of mathematics well, so that instead of being the most hated subject, it becomes charming. In this work, we propose to analyze research related to Art in the teaching of Mathematics. We tried to answer the guiding question: What contributions of Art in Mathematics are presented in publications of the journal Educação Mathematics in Magazine from 2009 to 2019? We understand Art, in this work, as the various artistic expressions: such as paintings, pictures, foldings, drawings, theater, music, dance, poetry, among others. This understanding is based on the Common National Curriculum Base. By searching the digital address of Educação Mathematics in Magazine, we found ten publications that presented practices to help in the classroom, experience reports and scientific articles. Based on these publications, the contribution that Art made to the presentation of mathematical content was noticeable, contributing to the participation of students in the classroom, as well as to the understanding and transmission of the proposed content. |
