When analyzing the potential of Comics in Mathematics teaching and learning, the idea of developing this research arose, to make a survey of productions developed in this area. In this sense, this work seeks to map, through the state of the art, the production of Comics in certain categories such as: Qualis A1 and A2 magazines, works in events that were coordinated by SBEM, specifically ENEM, SIPEM and Forum de Licenciaturas, and dissertations. After this data collection, twenty-three works were selected to which some criteria for analysis were defined, such as: methodology, theoretical framework and conclusions. Thus, each work was analyzed so that it was possible to make a comparison between the categories and have an overview of the HQ in the teaching of Mathematics. From this, it was observed that Comics are used as an aid to motivate students to learn something because of the way they are structured and the students' familiarity with them, however it is noticeable that there is a gap regarding the lack of discussion about whether they really can help students learn certain content. In view of these observations, it is evident that this area needs to be further explored by researchers so that its acceptance and use in the room actually occurs.
