The present work aims to analyze different mathematical models that describe the dynamics of HIV-1 behavior in the human body and its interaction with the immune system. For analysis, third and fourth order models that consider healthy CD4+ T-cells, infected CD4+ T-cells and viral load were studied, in addition to the study of models that consider the action of antiretroviral therapy (ART) and simulations of the models performed in open loop through MATLAB software using fourth-order Runge-Kutta numerical method. With parameters defined in the existing literature, the dynamic responses of the models were analyzed and the differences between them were pointed out. From the simulations, an alternative model that explains the infeccion phases was defined for use in research for the development of infection control methods. |
