However, due to the great population expansion of humanity, species of reptiles, especially turtles and jacares, become vulnerable when there is no concern to build strategies for the conservation of these species of animals. Thus, this work aimed to investigate and evaluate information from students from Itacoatiara-AM about reptiles. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied with students from three elementary schools II, being Remote teaching through the Google Forms platform and in person through Hybrid Teaching. For the analyses, the data were organized into keyword frequencies of the students' responses. The results obtained show that most students highlight reptiles with great ecological importance for nature and for the population, as they contribute to the food and economy of several riverside populations in the Amazon region. In addition, students showed concern about conserving species, encouraging the school community to create projects, lectures developed in educational institutions and actions in rural communities (places where some students live), with the aim of strengthening sustainable educational actions. The conclusion is that the existence of works evaluating the knowledge of students in relation to herpetology in Amazonas is of paramount importance, considering the biological dimension in the region. These studies contribute to the implementation of conservation and preservation programs such as the “Pé de Pincha” project and projects carried out by the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve. A região amazônica abriga uma rica biodiversidade, onde estão inseridas várias espécies de répteis, estas vivem em diferentes ambientes tanto aquático quanto terrestre. Porém, devido à grande expansão populacional da humanidade, as espécies de répteis, principalmente os quelônios e jacarés, tornam-se vulneráveis quando não ocorre uma preocupação em construir estratégias para a conservação dessas espécies de animais. Assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar e avaliar informações dos estudantes de Itacoatiara-AM sobre os répteis. Para tal objetivo, foi realizado a aplicação de questionário com alunos de três escolas do ensino fundamental II, sendo ensino Remoto através da plataforma Google Forms e presencialmente por Ensino Híbrido. Para as análises, os dados foram organizados em frequências de palavras-chaves das respostas dos alunos. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam que a maioria dos alunos destacam os répteis com grande importância ecológica para a natureza e para a população, pois contribuem para a alimentação e economia de diversas populações ribeirinha da região amazônica. Além disso, os estudantes demonstraram a preocupação sobre conservar as espécies, incentivando a comunidade escolar a criações de projetos, palestras desenvolvidas nas instituições de ensino e ações em comunidades rurais (locais que residem alguns alunos), com o intuito de fortalecer as ações educacionais sustentáveis da região. Com os resultados, conclui-se que é de suma importância a existência de trabalhos voltados para o conhecimento dos alunos em relação a herpetologia no Amazonas, considerando a dimensão biológica na região.
