Due to the increased demands for products, vehicles on urban stretches are often overloaded, which causes a mismatch in the vehicle-track interaction. This failure in vehicle-track interaction causes several changes in vehicle traffic in urban regions. One of the impacts is on the loss of performance of freight vehicles on upward ramps, thus causing a reduction in speed on the road, among other impacts. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the performance of cargo vehicles on road sections with upward ramps, considering the aspects of vehicle-traffic interaction, in one of the main urban routes of the city of Manaus, which directly or indirectly serve the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM). For this, an analysis was made of how urban freight transport influences urban mobility. The data collection methodology used to extract the data from the developed speeds was the indirect method, where by means of filming, the time of the trucks passing by pre-defined milestones on the road was taken and, later, the speed developed on the ramps was calculated. In addition, categorized data on vehicle traffic was collected using filming during peak hours. Finally, with the data collected, a case study was performed, analyzing the performance of cargo vehicles adopting a standard vehicle model for analysis, due to the lack of data on passages and technical specifications of the trucks transiting in the region. Among the conclusions of this work, there is the lack of weighing information of the trucks that travel on the road, and the PIM does not have scales that control the weight of the trucks that travel in the city of Manaus, it was also observed that for the simulations made it was observed that the trucks developed a speed of up to 38km/h less than the regulated speed of the road. Therefore, it is suggested studies to evaluate more thoroughly the performance of vehicles, considering the speed of entry and exit of the ramp, as well as the installation of scales for a better monitoring of these vehicles, so that a more assertive performance evaluation is possible. |
