Resumo:
The Ephigênio Salles Avenue is part of an important route, connecting the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM) to the North Zone of the City, especially the International Airport. Given such a configuration, the road becomes overloaded with heavy cargo vehicles, further increasing the slowness and interfering with the urban mobility of this road corridor. Therefore, these factors served as a basis to identify, through the performance analysis of routes, applying the speed and delay method, the impacts on urban mobility of Ephigênio Salles Avenue, caused by the behavior of freight vehicle traffic, considering the available road infrastructure. The research was based on the Route Performance Method, presented by CET-SP and DNIT, through the Speed and Delay Research, using the Test Vehicle with Chronometer for data collection. With this study it was possible to identify critical stretches considering the two directions of the Via. It was found that in all sections the operational speed of Avenida Ephigênio Salles suffers reductions, reaching a reduction of 74.85% in its most critical section. The main reasons for delay refer to the geometry of the road (curves, lane width, accesses, returns, bus stops) and traffic lights on Section 03. In this case, the delay time is up to 135% longer than the ideal. Therefore, there is a need to identify indicators to monitor urban mobility of roads in Manaus (AM), for example, speeds and delays, to avoid a rapid decline in the level of service and flow capacity.
