The study aims to analyze how digital social networks influence the production and dissemination of information in the city of Parintins/AM, through an analysis of the Repórter Parintins website. To this end, the monographic research starts from a literature review, which seeks to elaborate an overview of the evolution of the media, passing through print media, radio and television, until the arrival of the internet, exposing the phases, characteristics of digital journalism, the relationship between journalism and interaction with digital social networks. In this way, it places emphasis on understanding how the interaction with the public on the internet works, ending with the relationship between journalism and Facebook. To understand how this digital social network can assist in journalistic production in the context studied, in the city of Parintins, in Baixo Amazonas, the methodology also involves a case study about the Repórter Parintins website, developed from April 01 to 07, 2022 The study reveals that, nowadays, digital social networks are of great importance for journalistic newsrooms, especially regarding their potential for disseminating information. The research also shows that, despite all the potential offered in the digital environment, the Repórter Parintins website does not explore them so vehemently, leaving the Facebook page to become a mere transposition of the website, exploring in a basic way interactivity, customization or personalization, hypertextuality, multimediality, memory, instantaneity and ubiquity made possible in this network. Este trabalho apresenta um panorama do uso das redes sociais digitais na produção jornalística, buscando relacionar o uso da internet por meio do Facebook aos efeitos provocados em uma sociedade conectada, visto que tais redes têm atraído uma porcentagem cada vez mais considerável de usuários. O estudo tem como objetivo analisar como as redes sociais digitais influenciam na produção e disseminação de informação na cidade de Parintins/AM, através de uma análise do site Repórter Parintins. Para tal, a pesquisa monográfica parte de uma revisão de literatura, que busca elaborar um panorama da evolução dos meios de comunicação, passando pelas mídias impressas, de rádio e televisão, até a chegada da internet, expondo as fases, características do jornalismo digital, a relação entre o jornalismo e a interação com as redes sociais digitais. Desse modo, põe ênfase em entender como funciona a interação com o público na internet, findando com a relação entre o jornalismo e Facebook. Para compreender como esta rede social digital pode auxiliar na produção jornalística no contexto estudado, na cidade de Parintins, no Baixo Amazonas, a metodologia envolve ainda um estudo de caso acerca do site Repórter Parintins, desenvolvido no período de 01 a 07 de abril de 2022. O estudo revela que nos dias atuais as redes sociais digitais são de grande importância para as redações jornalísticas, sobretudo quanto ao seu potencial de difusão de informações.
