(ABP, 2020) According to the WHO (2022a), in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the rates of anxiety and depression increased by 25% globally. Also, according to WHO (2022b), work is a key point in mental health. However, a bad work environment can lead to physical and mental health problems, alcohol abuse and drugs, absence from work and loss of productivity. In this scenario, a serious problem faced in Brazil is the lack of beds specialized psychiatrics. With the psychiatric reform many beds were closed in favor of deinstitutionalization and today Brazil has poor coverage in that mode. The closing of psychiatric beds proved to be ineffective, resulting in the overcrowding of psychiatric emergencies and an increase in street dwellers. (KAWAKAMI, PRATES, TENG apud TAMAI, 2015) Os transtornos mentais são doenças crônicas altamente prevalentes no mundo e contribuem para morbidade, incapacidade e mortalidade precoces. (ABP, 2020) Segundo a OMS (2022a), no primeiro ano de pandemia COVID-19, os índices de ansiedade e depressão aumentaram em 25% globalmente. Ainda de acordo com a OMS (2022b), o trabalho é um ponto chave na saúde mental. Entretanto, um ambiente de trabalho ruim pode levar a problemas de saúde física e mental, abuso de álcool e drogas, faltas ao trabalho e perda de produtividade. Neste cenário, um grave problema enfrentado no Brasil é a falta de leitos psiquiátricos especializados. Com a reforma psiquiátrica muitos leitos foram fechados em prol da desinstitucionalização e hoje o Brasil conta com uma cobertura deficiente nessa modalidade. O fechamento dos leitos psiquiátricos se mostrou ineficaz, resultando na superlotação das emergências psiquiátricas e no aumento dos moradores de rua.
