In this work, the functioning and characteristics of banking institutions over time were analyzed, based on historical reports through exploratory research on the historicity given the importance of the theme. Factors such as the impact of technological advances on the development of digital banks, points of competitiveness and the description of services provided by Fintechs compared to traditional banking institutions are addressed. By analyzing the reinvention of banks throughout history in Brazil, it was found that digital banking institutions have a growing trend in the market and that, as of 2016, they have leveraged competitiveness in the country after resolution 4480, of April 25, which made the services of digital banking institutions official. The advancement of technology enabled the creation of Fintechs, financial institutions whose objective is to facilitate transactions remotely, and with their advancement, traditional banks reinvent themselves and open up their competitiveness with digital banks. The research was based on a non-probabilistic sample of academics from the Federal University of Amazonas from the course in economics and administration, with the aim of exploring the degree of use of digital and traditional banking services. A questionnaire was submitted through the google application, estimating the universe of approximately 150 students, obtaining the response of 45 of them. The results show that 78.5% of respondents are aged 25 or under and that more than 78% of respondents have a high level of trust in digital banking institutions. Another relevant piece of information is that interviewees tend to trust and use digital banking institutions more and more and that the biggest attraction for the target audience is not the interest rate, but the very level of trust in digital banking institutions. |
