This work aims to analyze the actions of the national Policy of STIs/AIDS in the municipality of Tabatinga-AM, comprising from the ex actions before to the ex post, being explained the facts that led to this implementation, the cycle of public policies, as well as the work that is currently developed.This work is exploratory and descriptive, and qualitative approach. In the data collection, two semi-structured questionnaires were used with 07 (seven) professionals working in the municipal coordination of STIs/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis of Tabatinga/AM, in addition to a sanitarist and former coordinator. The interviews were conducted through audio recording and the collected data were treated in 3 stages, 1 - pre-analysis, 2 - exploration of the material and 3 - classification and treatment of the results. Through this research it was identified that the coordination of STIs/HIV and Viral Hepatitis was instituted in the municipality of Tabatinga in June 2000, being preceded by several stages that followed for the implementation of the national policy in the municipality. Regarding the research question: What are the actions of the national STIs/AIDS policy in the municipality of Tabatinga -AM? It was identified that actions are carried out in the areas of promotion, prevention and protection (workshops, lectures, rapid testing, distribution of condoms, diagnosis and treatment of STIs), as well as partnerships with other institutions in order to guarantee the rights of users of the service. It was also possible to identify the challenges encountered to implement the policy in the municipality as well as the challenges currently faced.. It is concluded, therefore, that the implementation of the National STI/AIDS Policy in the municipality of Tabatinga had its obstacles, but managed to be carried out satisfactorily in the municipality.
