The historic center of Manaus might be considered, in several ways as an unused urban space, going against its process of conception and development, the proposed theme seeks analyzing the typology Vila, a collective occupational form considered quite popular in the 1890's, aiming the conception of a housing project, as well as its integration to an object of historical importance, not only adding its use to collective areas but also preserving the immaterial. Perceiving home as a place that shapes the individual’s identity, the project aspires, through flexible housing units, to rule against the monotonous architecture caused by property speculation. In addition to all the mentioned spots, it finds in housing a fighting agent against the urban void caused by the city expansion.
