In the scenario of intense transformations driven by technological advances, commercial and financial integrations and fierce global competition, business logistics has become one of the core areas for organizations. Transport logistics is one of the most important elements in the logistics of a company, as it deals with the way in which the products will reach the final consumer. The Amazon has a serious mobility problem even though it has extensive rivers, due to which its main means of transport is the river. But even though it is of great importance for the economic and social development of the region, it still presents problems related to the logistical system that are due to both natural factors (flood, ebb) and lack of public investment in this sector. The present work was developed through bibliographical research and field research, in which a form was applied in five of the twelve vessels that operate in the Manaus/Tabatinga/Manaus section, providing services for the displacement of people and transport of cargo, having as a general objective to understand the operational dynamics of the vessels for carrying out cargo and passenger transport logistics during the ebb of the Solimões River, in the Manaus / Tabatinga / Manaus stretch, linking to the specific objectives of identifying the main challenges faced by the sector and proposing solutions of improvements, and to present an alternative functional plan for the optimization of the transport logistics in the sector. With this study, it was possible to observe that most of the vessels that operate in this modal are the Ferry Boat type (80%) and the minority are the Motor Ship type (20%), and travel for an average of eight years. These vessels carry more cargo of the frozen refrigerated type and of the solid bulk type, the activities of these vessels are concentrated in the Manaus / Tabatinga section, both for the displacement of people and the transport of cargo, it was also identified that the greatest potential risks related to the ebb of the River Solimões, are the increase in fuel consumption, increase in the cost of maintaining vessels, the risk of running aground and the increase in the cost of labor. Therefore, in view of these identified problems, possible solutions were presented to minimize these problems faced by these vessels, which is the creation of floating dock projects, and the implementation of floating terminals, finally, a Plan was presented for the optimization of the river transport of cargo and passengers on the Manaus/ Tabatinga/ Manaus stretch. |
