For this purpose, it was also necessary to: a) describe the speaking practices developed and the technologies used; b) investigate the positive and negative results of the remote modality for these activities; and c) describe the teachers' beliefs about the efficiency of communicative practices in teaching English in the remote and face-to-face teaching. For the theoretical basis, books and scientific researches were used, such as Bygate (1987), Harmer (2010), Rao (2019), to address theoretical aspects of the speaking skills; and Santos, Beato, Aragão (2010), Warschauer and Healey (1998), Carvalho and Soares (2020), about the use of technologies in language teaching and oral skills, among other authors. This is a qualitative research with a case study technical procedure, where four teacher-scholarship of the CEL Project answered 5 subjective questions in an online form in the Google Forms platform. All the interviewees have experience in teaching English both face-to-face and remotely. The data collected was submitted to a descriptive-interpretative analysis. At the end of the study, a reflection is made about the integration of technologies in online teaching of speaking. Tendo em vista o interesse de compreender como as atividades comunicativas podem ser trabalhadas no ensino remoto, visto que o distanciamento social impediu a interação física entre professores e alunos durante a pandemia da COVID-19, o presente estudo trata sobre as práticas de speaking no ensino remoto de língua inglesa, com objetivo de investigar como as atividades comunicativas foram desenvolvidas pelos professores-bolsistas do Projeto CEL, da Universidade Federal do Amazonas. Para tanto, ainda foi necessário: a) descrever quais foram as práticas de speaking elaboradas juntamente das tecnologias utilizadas; b) averiguar quais foram os resultados positivos e negativos da modalidade remota para essas atividades; e c) registrar a crença dos professores quanto a eficiência das práticas comunicativas no ensino de inglês nas modalidades remota e presencial. Para embasamento teórico, foram utilizados livros e pesquisas científicas como os de Bygate (1987), Harmer (2010), Rao (2019), para abordar aspectos teóricos sobre a habilidade de speaking; e Santos, Beato, Aragão (2010), Warschauer e Healey (1998), Carvalho e Soares (2020), sobre o uso das tecnologias no ensino de línguas e da habilidade oral, entre outros autores. Realizou-se uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, com procedimento técnico de estudo de caso, onde quatro professores-bolsistas do Projeto CEL responderam 5 perguntas subjetivas em um questionário online na plataforma Google Forms. Todos os entrevistados têm experiência no ensino presencial e remoto de inglês. Os dados coletados foram submetidos a uma análise descritiva-interpretativa.
