Resumo:
The consequences caused by the inappropriate disposal of organic solid waste bring impacts such as visual soil pollution and contamination of surface and groundwater, in addition to impacts that directly affect the health and quality of life of the population. However, the use of this organic matter as bioproducts for fertilization in agriculture is essential for the quality and conservation of soil fertility. This course conclusion work aims to evaluate the development of BRS Moema pepper seeds (Capsicum chinense), through the acceptance of different mixtures of organic residues, from the processes of biodegradation and aerobic decomposition produced in the rainy season in the city of Humaitá- AM. The literature review followed the bibliographic-documentary method, providing theoretical support in the elaboration of the text and adapting existing methodologies of sowing practices and monitoring of crop development. The results obtained in this work indicate that the composting process is the most resistant to the impacts caused by the excess of water precipitated in the rains in this region, as it obtains a performance of speed in germination in 4.6 consecutive days of development, but the vermicomposting obtained this performance in 5 days and can also be ideal for treating organic waste from households or businesses. When comparing the evaluation parameters of height and root growth, vermicomposting showed deeper roots and greater heights in relation to the composted seedlings, which obtained a better performance in terms of the number of plants developed. Given the above, it can be concluded that the treatments obtained satisfactory results, but the excess of rainwater can cause adversities and decrease the germination rate as well as the development of the biquinho pepper.
