An integartiva literature review focused on studies on the use of acids in dermatological treatments was carried out, with the PubMed, SciELO, BVS databases being used as search sources. Six studies were found with moderate to low methodological quality, reaching a score average of 5,5 on the PEDro scale and who used diferente acids in various dermatofunctional problems. The studies found indicate that acids such as glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, hayluronic, azelaico and trichloroacetic are the most used in the treatment of dermatological alterations such as melasma, wrinkles around the eyes and acne vulgaris. Evidence suggests the effectiveness of these acids in dermatofunctional treatment and further studies are needed to corroborate the findings of this research. A pele é o principal órgão de revestimento do organismo. As alterações epidérmicas estão associadas à baixa autoestima e na procura por profissionais especializados na área da estética como fisioterapeutas dermatofuncionais. Neste contexto, os ácidos são um dos recursos mais utilizados no tratamento de disfunções da pele. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura focada em estudos sobre a utilização de ácidos em tratamentos dermatológicos, com as bases de dados PubMed, SciELO e BVS sendo usadas como fontes de buscas. Foram encontrados 6 estudos com moderada a baixa qualidade metodológica, alcançando uma pontuação média de 5,5 na escala PEDro e que empregaram diferentes ácidos em variados problemas dermatofuncionais. Os estudos encontrados apontam que os ácidos como o glicólico, salicílico, mandélico, hialurônico, azelaico e tricloroacético são os mais utilizados no tratamento de alterações dermatológicas como melasma, rugas ao redor dos olhos e acne vulgar.
