The study aimed to understand the quality of work life (QWL) from the perspective of the helix model triple in the city of Manaus. Considering that the object of QWL is organizational behavior as an expression of the human experience in the workplace, the theoretical approach dealt with the eight QWL criteria proposed by Walton (1973) for the analysis of its main characteristics. Important aspects of the triple helix model were also addressed, as an innovation model for economic growth and entrepreneurship, and the creative industry, focusing on the handicraft sector, as
being performed by a chain of products that add value to regional development. Furthermore, it is typified as a qualitative research with a descriptive character, using semi-structured interviews as a data collection technique, and the content analysis method to analyze them. The main results indicate that the triple helix model has a
positive impact on the quality of life of artisan workers, when they act together for the development of the category, especially when partnerships are signed between the government and the educational sector to assist in the training of such entrepreneurs. However, it was verified the little presence of the university education pillar in the formation of these individuals, which negatively impacts on their quality of professional life, in addition to the little formalization of the businesses carried out in this segment. |
