Information Technology (IT) is an essential tool for optimizing processes and reducing costs in various social sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry. Medication loss is a problem that directly affects public health and is one of the main causes of financial losses in the sector. Thus, the usage of mobile applications for inventory management has proven to be an efficient solution to prevent losses in different sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry. The objective of this study is to identify technological tools in the pharmaceutical sector for inventory control in order to propose a technological solution to be applied in the management and control of medication losses in a pharmacy in the municipality of Itacoatiara-AM. The methodology involves data collection through a literature review, followed by the development of a software for medication loss management and control, and usability evaluation. The initial usability test results of the proposed technological solution for inventory control in pharmacies showed positive aspects in terms of usability, performance, and data reliability.
