The project was developed based on case studies, bibliographic and iconographic research, as well as field research conducted on-site and in the surrounding area where the intervention will take place. The lack of appreciation by the local population towards biodiversity and the neglect were reasons that led to the choice of this theme. The scientific research to be conducted on-site will contribute to understanding the biology of the animals and the conservation of species, maintaining the balance of the ichthyofauna. Additionally, the exhibition of the animals will serve educational and research purposes, promoting local tourism and visits from schools and universities. Overall, the project aims not only to provide a space for leisure and tourism but also to educate the population about the importance of preserving aquatic life in the Amazon. O projeto do Aquário e Centro de Pesquisa da Vida Aquática Amazônica visa criar um espaço que promova lazer, turismo e educação científica, com áreas de exposição de peixes amazônicos, laboratórios e uma área externa de lazer. O projeto foi desenvolvido com base em estudos de casos, pesquisa bibliográfica e iconográfica, além de pesquisas de campo realizadas no local e no entorno do terreno onde será feita a intervenção. A falta de valorização da população local em relação à biodiversidade e o descaso foram motivos que levaram à escolha desse tema. As pesquisas científicas a serem realizadas no local contribuirão para o entendimento da biologia dos animais e para a conservação das espécies, mantendo o equilíbrio da ictiofauna. Além disso, a exposição dos animais terá fins educacionais e de pesquisa, promovendo o turismo local e visitas de escolas e universidades.
