One of the reasons why this work will be taken as a field of research in institutions and companies. The custody of the collection and heritage is very important, as it aims at the greater good for society, for this reason it is essential that all institutions have their collections and documentary heritage. In order to know the paths related to this theme, it was before the discipline of methodology of academic work II that the bibliographic and field research was approached, since it is necessary to enter the field to know the documentation of the institutions, which created for the memory of the municipality . The sample of the work emphasizes that it is notorious and urgent that historical collections and documentary heritage be mapped, and that it be rescued. In this way, it is emphasized that the research on the documents that are part of the memory of the formation of the municipality is very fundamental. Este trabalho ressalta o relato de uma pesquisa sobre a importância do mapeamento das instituições que contém o acervo histórico e patrimônio documental no Município de Novo Aripuanã. Uma das razões pelas quais neste trabalho vai-se tomar como campo de pesquisa as instituições e empresas. A guarda do acervo e patrimônio é muito importante, pois, visa um bem maior para a sociedade, por esse motivo é fundamental todas as instituições terem seus acervos e patrimônios documentais. Para se conhecer os caminhos relacionados a esse tema, foi diante da disciplina de metodologia do trabalho acadêmico II que se abordou a pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, pois é necessário adentrar a campo para conhecer as documentações das instituições, que contribuem para a memória do município. A amostra do trabalho frisa que é notório e urgente que se faça o mapeamento dos acervos históricos e patrimônios documentais, e faça o resgate do mesmo.
