This report describes the creation process of Amazonas Cultura, an independent journalistic site, specialized in culture, with the objective of valuing the cultural diversity present in Parintins and region. As a theoretical foundation, the work was based on the following themes: Culture in Brazilian Cultural Journalism, Cultural Journalism on Websites in Parintins and Independent Digital Journalism in the Contemporary Scenario. The work modalities are exploratory and experimental, with a qualitative approach. The Amazonas Cultura website, in addition to the spectacle and aesthetics, highlights social, political, economic and environmental issues, through articles of different genres and journalistic formats. With its main focus on invisible and historically marginalized cultures, it differs from local media that treat cultural issues as entertainment and center their agendas on mass cultures.
