The image of the sanctified, good, and instinctive mother is quickly sold and distributed in our society as the sole way to experience motherhood. It is essential to emphasize that the excessive idealization of motherhood often hinders the dialogue about experiencing negative emotions and inherent conflicts in motherhood. This excessive idealization creates a smokescreen around "negative" motherhood, leading women who do not fit this idealized mold to be labeled as "crazy," with their caregiving being delegitimized. Exploring an understanding of mothers who exhibit perverse behaviors becomes challenging, as they are either stigmatized as "crazy" or diagnosed with psychological disorders. This study aimed to investigate perverse acts of mothers towards their children through a literature review. To do so, a scoping review was conducted using the databases of the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), the CAPES Periodicals Portal, and Electronic Journals in Psychology (Pepsic), resulting in the selection of 5 articles. The findings suggest that mothers displaying supposedly perverse behaviors have an ambiguous relationship with their children. The nature of the dyad is characterized by significant ambivalence of emotions, ranging from excessive affection to excessive violence or even maternal absence. Moreover, these mothers with perverse actions towards their children convey generational traumas that become integrated into their relationship with their babies. O papel materno foi construído em nossa sociedade de forma sacral, idealizado e realizador para o exercício completo de uma mulher social, cultural e historicamente criada através de atos performativos. A figura da mãe santificada, boa e instintiva, logo é vendida e distribuída em nossa sociedade como única forma de ser experienciada a maternidade. É essencial ressaltar que a idealização excessiva da mãe muitas vezes impede o diálogo sobre a vivência de emoções negativas e conflitos inerentes à maternidade. Sendo posta tal cortina de fumaça em relação a essa maternidade “negativa”, mulheres que fogem dessa figura ideal são tidas como “loucas” e seu cuidado é deslegitimado. Torna-se árdua a exploração de uma compreensão e a problematização do fato de mães possuírem comportamentos tidos como perversos. Este estudo buscou investigar através da literatura atos nomeados como perversos de mães diante a filhos. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão de escopo, nas bases de dados do Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Portal de Periódicos da CAPES e Periódicos Eletrônicos em Psicologia (Pepsic) selecionando-se 05 artigos ao final. Diante dos resultados, mães que possuem supostamente comportamentos perversos tem uma relação ambígua com seus filhos. A natureza da díade é caracterizada por uma ambivalência muito grande dos afetos, sendo por carinho demasiado ou violência demasiada ou uma ausência dessa mãe.
