With technological advancements and the increasing complexity of construction, the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology has emerged as a promising tool to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration in civil engineering projects. Using a Fire Safety Project (PSCI) as a reference, which is essential to ensure the physical integrity of occupants and the protection of property in buildings, this study aimed to evaluate the application of the BIM methodology in developing a PSCI for a multifamily residential condominium located in Manaus, Brazil. The goal was to verify how the use of BIM can contribute to the reduction of execution errors, minimization of project development time, and improvement of the quality of fire safety solutions. To achieve this objective, a theoretical review of the concepts and benefits of BIM was conducted, followed by a case study involving the modeling of the PSCI using Autodesk Revit® software. The stages and results obtained were compared with the traditional CADbased methodology, highlighting the advantages and challenges of using BIM. Therefore, the BIM methodology not only reduces development time but also increases the accuracy and efficiency of fire safety projects. |
